To our friends, family, and associates,
The coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has disrupted life for many worldwide. First and foremost, our sympathy goes out to all those affected, at home and abroad. It is important we keep you informed of the impact to NW Explorations, and the steps we are undertaking to ensure the safety of our guests and staff.
Our team is closely monitoring all federal, state, and local guidance in order to ensure compliance with the recommendations of health officials. As the situation changes rapidly, and varies by location, we ask that you stay informed and follow the directions of your local authorities.
Because a majority of our registered 2020 charter guests have decided not to cancel, we are continuing to run this year’s trips as planned.
We are working diligently to help those who have decided to cancel by transferring existing bookings to a comparable vessel, time, and destination in the 2021 season (subject to availability). This transfer is without penalty.
We ask anyone wishing to make changes to their booked travel do so 60 days prior to departure. This allows us time to adjust schedules and crew to better serve guests who are continuing with their trip as planned.
For those who are willing to proceed with travel plans, we strongly encourage you to ensure your trip is protected in case of cancellations outside of our control.
In light of recent events, many Travel Insurance providers have begun offering coverage for coronavirus-related cancellations and medical care. We highly encourage you to check with your insurance provider to see if you are eligible in the event you have no choice but to cancel your reservation with us.
We understand the next few months are filled with uncertainty. Regardless of how long we have to weather this storm, we are certain the 15,000+ miles of pristine coastline will be waiting for you to explore when you’re ready to travel again. When that moment comes, we’ll be waiting for you!
