The Mother Goose fleet pulled their anchors and got underway at 0800 leaving the Broken Group Islands for NW Anchorage near Tofino, BC. Deception’s crew had the good fortune of having a guest captain for the day! Grace from Grand Adventure came aboard to stand a watch and take a look at a day in the life of NW Exploration’s crew. Our route took us through the scenic Broken Group Islands and then back out along the coast of Vancouver Island headed north. With typical 10ft swells and slight winds the Mother Goose fleet got a chance to appreciate their stabilizers and were riding the swells like pros!

NW Anchorage provided a beautiful place to raft the fleet with not a breath of wind disturbing the boats or the nearby oyster farm. Once settled, half the crew shuttled into Tofino for a night on the town. Everyone enjoyed Tofino’s laid-back vibes and fabulous eateries. For the folks who opted out of going to Tofino, they had a lovely group dinner on Inception.
