We are coming up on the end of the Mother Goose Alaska Flotilla. As we crossed the border back into the U.S., there was an excitement and a sense of finishing a well enjoyed journey. These boats left Bellingham in May, and now four months later will be returning to their home port tomorrow.

Friday Harbor is an amazing town to spend our last evening. This town is the hub for the San Juan islands and it is wonderful to watch the bustle of the marina and listen to the birds fly over the sparkling water. We gathered on Deception for a pre-dinner get together and to watch a slideshow from our trip. When you experience adventures in the cruising world, it is very hard not to walk away with many new friends. As we all shared stories and told jokes, the connections we have made were greatly appreciated.

The Down Rigger offers a view of the ferry coming and going and is a great place for our final dinner together. The food was excellent, but the company was better. Tomorrow we will follow the view of Mt Baker back to Bellingham where we end our 2022 Alaska flotilla.

Thank you to everyone who has joined us this year! It has been wonderful sharing the experience with each and every guest we have spent time with! We hope the memories made will be treasured for years to come. Everyone who got the pleasure of being a crew member on Deception will carry these experiences with them and should look forward to many more in the future!
