We woke to a foggy morning, heading off to make our way up the Tracy Arm, which is a large fjord that leads up to the Sawyer Glacier.

The clouds soon lifted, and the sun peaked through, revealing the stunning fjord. We were traveling through turquoise water with stunningly blue icebergs and surrounded by 7,000 ft tall carved cliffs with cascading waterfalls everywhere. We passed so many beautiful icebergs that formed amazing blue and white ice sculptures.

We stopped in front of a few cool waterfalls to appreciate their beauty and take advantage of a great photo op. We next headed to the Sawyer glacier and got to see the terminus.

It was unbelievable to witness the glacier that had been carving this fjord for millennia. We took advantage of another great photo op and headed to the South Sawyer Glacier.

There were too many icebergs to get to the terminus of this glacier in our boats, but no worries, Deception, and some other crews dropped their dinghies and ferried some other crews through the ice floe to get closer to the glacier! It was a brisk and fun time. Once our adventurers returned, we headed back toward our anchorage in Tracy Arm Cove.

As he headed back, we saw a Humpback Whale surface a few times as it made its way toward the glacier. Before we made it back to our anchorage for the night we saw a young black bear on the shore of the fjord. It was so cool to get such great views of this young bear as he fed on mussels! What another great day, and we are excited for another beautiful night at Tracy Arm Cove.
