2024 Inside Passage Flotilla North – Day 8 Lagoon Cove to Kwatsi Bay

It was a slow, calm morning in Lagoon Cove. Rain drops created a rippling pattern on the green water and a curtain of fog draped around the mountains. There was coffee provided on the dock at 7:30 which provided a little time for socializing before departure.

We gifted our first necklace to Kelly and Dan to show our gratitude for their hospitality and for making us feel right at home. In return Kelly gifted us some Lagoon Cove stickers! It was very thoughtful of them.

Passing through Knight Inlet we spotted the blow of a humpback whale in the distance and a sea lion peering its head up, proceeding to do flips in the water.

We slowed down our speed going through Sargeaunt Passage as it became increasingly more narrow and shallow. The rain started to pour down sideways, and the fog continued to linger on the horizon.

Pulling into Kwatsi Bay we could see waterfalls in every direction, powerfully rushing down the slopes of sheer granite. The view was surreal, with the rain and fog only adding to the tranquility of it all. Though every place we have visited has been beautiful, Kwatsi Bay is my favorite spot yet.
