After an evening of exploring the haunting beauty of Ocean Falls, we eased into day fifteen with a relaxed start, soaking in the sunshine that stayed with us all day. The seas were calm, the skies were clear, and the mood aboard each vessel was light—just the kind of day you hope for during a long passage.

Several guests took advantage of the conditions to drop lines and crab traps along the way; some were rewarded with a little extra bounty from the sea. Others kept their eyes on shore and were lucky enough to spot black bears roaming the coastline. Meanwhile, the rocky outcroppings were covered in “rock sausages”—a nickname we’ve lovingly adopted for the lounging harbor seals stretched out in the sun.

By late afternoon, we arrived at Shearwater Marina, a quiet yet welcoming outpost near Bella Bella. Guests had the evening to walk the docks, explore the area, and enjoy the peace of a warm coastal evening.
While not filled with major events, today was a gift of simplicity—sunshine, stillness, and connection with the landscape. With each passing day, our group draws closer together, and the natural rhythm of the journey becomes something everyone embraces.
