Day seventeen delivered one of the most breathtaking highlights of the journey so far. We left Rescue Bay under a veil of early morning fog, the stillness and quiet lending a sense of mystery as we made our way north. By the time we reached the entrance to Kynoch Inlet, the skies began to clear—revealing a dramatic world of towering granite cliffs and cascading waterfalls at every turn.

Cruising through the fjord-like inlet felt otherworldly. Sheer rock walls rose straight out of the sea, framing the channel with raw and untamed beauty. The group paused often to take in the landscape, cameras clicking and voices quiet in awe.

At the head of the inlet, the day’s magic reached new heights with the appearance of grizzly bears along the shoreline. Guests watched quietly from the safety of their vessels as the bears moved slowly through the grasses—an unforgettable moment and a true privilege to witness in such a remote setting.

On our return from the inlet and en route to Windy Bay, some guests were lucky enough to spot orcas once again, rounding out a day already filled with nature’s finest.

We arrived at Windy Bay under sunny skies and settled into the peaceful anchorage surrounded by forested slopes and distant peaks. The evening was filled with stories, laughter, and quiet reflection on one of the most awe-inspiring days of the voyage.
