After yesterday’s excitement, we eased into Day 4 with a more relaxed pace. A later start meant guests could indulge in a quiet morning soak in Bishop Bay’s hot springs or enjoy some lingering whale activity nearby—a perfect way to ease into the day.

As we made our way south, the landscape didn’t disappoint. We passed countless cascading waterfalls tumbling down steep granite cliffs, a reminder of the untouched beauty that defines this stretch of the Inside Passage. A brief stop in the hauntingly beautiful ghost town of Butedale offered a glimpse into the past—its crumbling structures and moss-covered boardwalks telling stories of a once-bustling cannery settlement.

By late afternoon, we arrived in Khutze Inlet, where the sounds of waterfalls surrounded us like a lullaby. Anchored in the heart of this pristine wilderness, the group enjoyed a calm and contemplative evening, soaking in the peace and solitude that only places like Khutze can offer.
