After a quiet and calm morning in Khutze Inlet, our flotilla lifted anchor and began the journey toward Rescue Bay. The weather held steady, offering smooth seas and a comfortable ride. One of the highlights of the route was navigating through the narrow, winding Jackson Narrows—a scenic and slightly technical passage that always keeps things interesting.

We arrived in Rescue Bay early in the afternoon, leaving plenty of time for exploring by dinghy. Guests zipped around the calm inlet, marveling at the bald eagles soaring above and the ever-entertaining “rock sausages” (our affectionate term for sea lions) lounging on the shoreline. The stillness of the bay made it a perfect place to reflect and reconnect with the slower rhythm of the wild.

To wrap up the day, we gathered aboard Bonum Vitae for a lively happy hour with everyone in the anchorage. With snacks in hand and stories flowing freely, the group shared laughter, reflections, and excitement about the days ahead. Each anchorage brings something new—but the camaraderie remains a constant.
