Our lay day in Pruth Bay delivered exactly what we all needed—rest, exploration, and a deeper connection with the natural world around us. The morning kicked off with a peaceful paddle during low tide, and the calm waters gave us an intimate look at the vibrant marine life tucked along the shoreline. From colorful sea stars and graceful jellyfish to curious harbor seals and a playful river otter weaving through the kelp, it felt like we had front row seats to a marine nature documentary.

Later in the day, we laced up our boots and headed out on a coastal hike. The trail gifted us with stunning panoramic views of the surrounding islands, reminding us just how remote—and breathtaking—this part of the world is. There’s a quiet stillness in Pruth Bay that seeps into your bones, the kind you don’t want to shake.

As the sun dipped lower, we gathered once again aboard Bonum Vitae for another round of Jon’s signature surf-and-turf dinner. The familiar scent of the grill, the clatter of cutlery, and the warm laughter from boat to boat made it a night to remember.
