Our last full day in Canadian waters. Waking up in Sooke, perfectly calm weather to leave the harbour, and flat conditions and blue skies all the way into Victoria. There were fishing boats dotted all around, taking full advantage of the glassy day. A much quicker ride today, we made it into Victoria by noon, with all the afternoon to explore the city and get reacquainted with civilization. Ross and Evelyn greeted us on the dock, a nice treat for everyone. All the geese and goslings met on Deception to celebrate the successful circumnavigation, looking at our photos and remarking on the journey. We have all learned, experienced, and witnessed so much. Building skills, relationships, and confidence, over 700 nautical miles in difficult waters.
Tomorrow the flotilla will return to Bellingham, but Olivia will stay behind. Thanks so much for reading and following along!
