1990 – 36′ Grand Banks Europa

Minnow is a fine, late-model example of the 36 Europa in the classic Grand Banks tradition and the only "wide-body" Europa currently available in the continental U.S. The Europa model has always been one of the more popular layouts for Pacific Northwest cruising with the well-protected side decks and the spacious covered aft cockpit—an elegant all-weather extension of the salon. Her practical layout, sturdy fiberglass construction, and long range capability all add up to a complete cruising boat. The Grand Banks semi-displacement hull design, with a fine entry forward, hard chines aft, and a full keel has been proven on waters around the world. Her single diesel allows her to cruise reliably and extremely economically at 8 knots. In production since the 60s, the Grand Banks 36 was redesigned in the late 80s giving the proven Grand Banks semi-displacement hull a longer waterline and an increased beam. Absolutely perfect for the cruising couple, Minnow offers ample living space for those extended cruises through the islands, up the Sunshine Coast and beyond.

Carefully maintained and thoughtfully updated, pride of ownership is evident throughout. Minnow offers an extensive list of equipment—Raymarine, ComNav and Icom headline the list of professional electronics that will deliver you to that remote anchorage. Once on the hook, enjoy the independence allowed by her propane stove, diesel-fired hydronic furnace, 5KW genset and inverter. All of this combines to make her a very inviting seaworthy vessel that feels comfortable and cozy while providing all the capability required to explore remote ports-of-call.

Access to the cockpit is gained via port and starboard side gates or through the optional transom door from the extended swim platform. Crossing the cockpit and entering the salon, the interior beckons with the warmth, elegance and attention to detail for which Grand Banks has become justifiably renown. Generous windows, a GB trademark, and warm lighting bathe the teak and custom upholstery day or night, providing the perfect venue for entertaining. Grab a sundowner and that nice salmon filet from today's catch and step back out to the cockpit for al-fresco dining and where you will find easy access to the generous upper deck where one can enjoy ample seating and the BBQ ready to fill the anchorage with the smells of the fresh catch, the sounds of laughter and pleasant conversation. As the day winds down, the stateroom with island berth welcomes you for a good night’s rest. It doesn't get any easier or more relaxing.

This vessel has cruised extensively throughout the NW, is well-equipped for PNW cruising and is ready to head north.
