The Grand Banks 32—considered the iconic couple’s cruising vessel.

Grand Banks produced the lovely and practical 32 Sedan for decades, starting with the venerable “woodies” in Hong Kong’s Junk Bay over 45 years ago. Virtually unchanged in spirit throughout her production—one doesn’t mess with a classic—the 32 has long been valued for her economy underway, ease of operation and her perfect size for two, whether new to boating or experienced “empty-nesters”.

Honu, hull 841, is a lovely late model example of this treasured icon. She sparkles as she tugs at her mooring lines. Her efficient easy-to-maneuver size beckons, while her sturdiness, traditional GB semi-displacement design and solid construction engenders respect and confidence in her sea-keeping abilities.

Board her either via her side gates over the bulwarks or from the extended swim platform through the optional and convenient transom door into the spacious cockpit, where you can land a salmon or pull up the traps with a few succulent Dungeness crabs. Step with your catch directly into the salon and galley through the aft door. Once inside, the spacious windows and warm teak joinery for which GB is so respected coddle you in cozy comfort as your dinner simmers on the propane stove. Enjoy that fresh catch with a few friends around the drop-leaf dining table, back in that spacious cockpit or on the flybridge, Cap off the evening with your feet propped on the cockpit’s cap rail as you sip a “sundowner”, before retiring to the comfortable forward berth. After a peaceful night on the hook, rouse her efficient Sabre Lehman diesel and man her helm to venture out for another day of exploring. With a 32, it doesn't get any easier or more relaxing.
