2000 – 52’ Grand Banks Motoryacht

The Grand Banks Motoryacht can be distinguished from the traditional Classic by a raised full beam aft deck platform. The raised deck provides an additional spacious aft deck space above a roomier aft stateroom. They were commonly seen in the 36, 42 and occasionally 49 lengths. What makes Bonum Vitae especially distinctive is that she is a custombuilt Grand Banks 52 Motoryacht, essentially built on the proven GB 49 platform, but with the added functionality of a cockpit, creating a rare layout that is unique within the Grand Banks line-reportedly the only 52 Motoryacht ever made and a must see. That added cockpit offers a usable lazarette, easier swim step and tender access, easier and safer line and fender deployment and additional usable outdoor space retaining the Motoryacht’s easier access to the aft deck and flybridge via proper stairs. The down galley and full beam luxurious primary stateroom give her a notably roomy interior. And a companionway aft from the Salon provides direct and easy stair access to the bimini-equipped aft deck and flybridge with its full enclosure, providing comfortable 4-season cruising spaces.

The previous owners cruised Bonum Vitae from her home port in Connecticut along the east coast to Florida and to the Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Virgins Islands, St. Maarten and St Barts. Purchased by the current owner in 2016, she was delivered by captain to Fort Lauderdale and shipped to the PNW to enter our charter fleet. She is boathouse kept and the owner has spared no expense to keep her in top condition. As a result, she is one of the most popular vessels in our fleet with many returning guests specifically seeking her out for extended cruising. Her appeal comes not only from her comfortable layout, but from the consistent attention she has received from owners, meticulously caring for her and investing in thoughtful upgrades season after season, exceeding our high fleet standards with regular maintenance on every system including annual haul outs and bottom paint, annual buff and wax, and annual varnish. Most systems have redundancy and many spares are provided, including a Ballmer high-output 12v alternator w/regulator, starter, reverse-cycle pump and engine new water pump. You won’t find a better-maintained boat.
