There’s a particular pleasure in the first morning aboard Golden Hour. Light comes through the ports, the teak and holly sole is cool underfoot, and the galley-down layout leaves the salon open around you as the coffee goes on. She’s a boat built for unhurried cruising; steady, easy to maneuver, and ideally suited to live aboard.
At 47.5 feet with a 15-foot beam, the Sabreline 47 carries its length with room to spare. The galley-down arrangement keeps the salon bright and open, with sliding deck doors on both sides. You have two places to take command: a lower helm forward to starboard for weather and long passages, and the flybridge above, where the upper helm opens onto the view and the breeze. Below, two staterooms and two heads sleep four. The aft master has a cedar-lined hanging locker, an ensuite head with a separate shower stall, and nine opening stainless ports. Forward, the vee-berth has direct access to the second head.
Underway, the twin Caterpillar 3126 diesels give you two boats in one. Push up to a roughly 15-knot planing cruise to make time, or settle to a 7–8 knot displacement lope and watch the range open past 1,100 nautical miles. With 530 gallons of fuel and 290 of water aboard, you can stay out and self-sufficient for many days on end.
That reach, paired with a shallow 4.5-foot draft, makes Golden Hour a natural fit for places like Desolation Sound. Far enough to go, shallow enough to tuck into the coves along the way, with the Gulf Islands and San Juans easy waypoints en route. A 2026 refresh includes updated Garmin charts, an EPIRB and six-person life raft, a new Magma grill, and a fully restocked galley.
