NW Explorations has expanded to Canada! With two new marina locales on the west coast of British Columbia, we now have luxury cruising covered on both sides of the border!
The Canoe Cove Marina on Vancouver Island is now home to NWE Canada’s maintenance and boat repair division. We are located at the head of E-Dock in Building 6 and are able to accommodate vessels up to 50 ft. in length.
Port Sidney is our other location. Located just 25 km north of Victoria, BC, Sidney is a picturesque town well worth the visit. NW Explorations will be providing charters, brokerage and yacht services from a facility there, and from two state-of-the-art mobile service vans. Visit the storefront and talk with the experts to find out all of the local favorites for cruising and dining.
A full complement of staff is ready, willing and able to accommodate luxury yachts at both Canadian locations. “Our Canadian staff replicate and offer the same meticulous service we provide for our clients in Bellingham,” said NWE Director of Service, John Nassichuk. “We have hired staff who are adaptable and widely experienced. It’s paramount for us to extend our brand and vision into every interaction we have, and deliver unparalleled service no matter the country, yacht or time of day.”
Who are the NWE Staff in Canada?
Jon Brown, Marine Technician
As a ticketed journeyman with two different trades: Marine Service Technician and Automotive Service Technician, Jon brings vast knowledge and experience. He grew up in North Vancouver, BC and marine trades have always been in his blood. His grandfather was a submariner in the Navy and his father was with the Coast Guard. Jon is happily continuing the trend with NWE on Vancouver Island.
Brodie McEachen, Marine Technician
Brodie grew up on Canada’s southwest coast with the water as his playground. That developed into time spent in the Mediterranean and Mexico working on superyachts. Now, Brodie is back on Canadian soil in Victoria, and is excited to help the NWE Canadian team grow, providing customers with the unparalleled service this company is known for.
John Nassichuck, Director of Service
Brought up in Powell River, John carries a deep love for our coast and the Salish Sea. He began as a mechanic in the yacht repair industry over 40 years ago and went on to own his own boatyard. Now, with NW Explorations, John is responsible for spearheading the Canadian operations and is excited to establish the company’s reputation in this region.
Ron Parrish, Parts Manager
Ron hails from Vancouver, British Columbia and spent many years learning the trade of his father as a marine technician. That inspiration led to various employment gigs in the marine industry, ranging from a rigger to parts and yacht sales. Ron is excited to help NWE establish roots and create an extensive customer base in Canada.

Hello Carolyn! Thanks for your interest in chartering out of our Sidney base. We are currently in the process of acquiring boats into the Sidney charter fleet.
